Let's talk chicken fried.

One of my all-time favorite places to chow down on a piece of steak is the Elite Cafe in Waco.

I also loved the ones cooked up at Big John's place in Nacogdoches. It's not there anymore and my husband (a Nacogdoches native) and I sure miss it when we visit.

Where are your favorite spots for red meat and grease?

Egads. Now, I'm hungry.

I'm working today .... and my sweet friend brought me a burger from College Street Burgers and Fries.

I think they should be on a burger segment at the Food Network. They taste like burgers should - plenty of red meat, grease and onions!

What's your favorite Sunday meal?

When I was growing up, my dad raised cattle and we always had roast, mashed potatoes, green peas with button mushrooms, a green salad and something sweet.

You hit it right on with the College Street burgers and fries. It makes miserable in a great I-ate-too-much-and-now-I'm-paying-for-it sort of way!
