TSCRA, others blast APHIS proposal to allow Argentine beef imports; threat of foot-and-mouth draws quick criticism

(Sept. 2) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has announced a proposal to amend regulations to allow imports of fresh (chilled or frozen) beef from northern Argentina, specifically, from a region located north of Patagonia South and Patagonia North B.
